An unusual concept for shinai, the Hakkaku Kunichika sports a koban-style octagonal grip up the length of the tsuka. Gaining momentum in Japanese kendo circles, those who try this dobari style shinai are taken with the improved sense of handling with its ability to prevent the shinai from rolling in the hands, and become reluctant to change back. The Hakkaku Kunichika is best described as a ‘beefy’ shinai, yet allows for easy execution of strikes with its 510g to 520g overall weight.
Only available in a Men's size 39.
